Ghostbusters Afterlife Spoilers

I was disappointed when the pandemic messed up pretty much all of the 2020 summer block busters. The Ghostbusters Afterlife movie was no exception. It was officially pushed back to June of this year.

I was browsing this morning it looks like slashfilm posted a spoiler for one of the new ghost characters. This ghost is called being called Muncher. Which is cool in of itself.

I recently purchased the Target version of the transformers ghostbusters crossover Ecto-one figure. He’s an all around good bot, with an on point car mode.

He came with two ghost accessories. I largely ignored them, they weren’t as interesting as the transformer. One of them was good ole Slimer.

Slime time

The other was a little unknown blue guy. I didn’t know or care who he was, however thanks to Slashfilm’s story. I now know his name is Muncher, and he looks like a chunky tardigrade.

FEED ME!!
Heh fatty

Well shit, let’s try again

So apparently my last post was in 2017 and I haven’t actually done anything with this blog and forever. However I have done plenty of cool shit since then. I well I’ll try to make regular posts here because I am tired of the rat race that is Facebook. The recent presidential election has brought out the goddamn worst in everybody. So it’s time to escape that with some good old-fashioned offensive fuckery and talk of retro games.

I will start with this lovely little beauty the NAMCO Museum made by My Arcade. I picked this up a few weeks back what was left of my government issued stimmy check. It has 20 classic games and it’s a reasonable desktop Arcade and ran about $100. It’s a reasonable machine but they took basically cell phone guts to make it. That being said it also uses a cell phone display and the aspect ratio is complete trash for playing old school arcade games designed for a 4:3 old school tube display. When you load up games you have an option to stretch it out to fit the full screen or go with your original aspect ratio. When you got with the original the games are way to tiny to play for long. However most of the more simple ones don’t look too bad (Pac-Man, digdug, etc). it is pretty clear that that thing was built using off the shelf electronic components and nothing custom other than the case. I could have built something for around the same price using a raspberry pi zero.

Do I regret my purchase? No it does a fine job sitting on my desk at work in reminding everybody how much of a big damn nerd I am.
